The Shanty is like a cozy cabin on skis. Getting to your favorite fishing spots is easier with the new Shanty from Ambush. With enough room for a whole group of anglers, you will be able to make memories together. This skid house comes with three different layouts to fit your needs. From a cozy yet compact home-away-from-home, to a simple setup with maximum space for drilling into the ice. The Shanty can also come with roll over couches that convert to beds for relaxing and overnight stays. The Shanty comes with the same great insulated walls and a durable aluminum frame, so you can make lasting memories for years to come.

Insulation

To keep you cozy inside our skid houses, we apply a fiberglass layer to the interior, featuring a thermal barrier and a polystyrene & aluminum frame. The exterior is sealed with a gel coat for added insulation, ensuring warmth even in chilly conditions.

Flooring

In our top-line skid houses, we include slip resistant composite flooring insulated with 1/2″ high density foam, ultra-rigid fiberglass reinforcing panel, Polystyrene and Aluminum frame, enclosed with corrugated plastic outside layering. Our windows are RV style sliding windows with screens, and our doors are 30″ wide, made with an Aluminum Frame, Insulated, and  with Automotive Grade Weather Sealing.

“We’ve Got Your Back” 5 Year Product Warranty

Ambush Outdoor Products warrants Ambush Skid Houses against functional defects in material or workmanship for a total period of 5 years as described below.

WHAT IS COVERED.
This warranty applies exclusively to the door, windows, side panels, roof and floor when used in the intended manner.

WHO IS COVERED.
This warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the Ambush Skid House.

WHAT AMBUSH WILL DO.
If parts covered by this warranty incur a functional defect within the period of coverage, Ambush will provide replacement parts, or at its option, provide the material and instruction for restoration.

HOW TO OBTAIN COVERAGE.
Notify Ambush Outdoor Products at 866-259-265 for warranty resolution. Ambush may require inspection or other verification that goods are defective.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED.
This warranty does not cover damage or failure contributed to or caused by:  Mishandling, misuse, use of incompatible solvents or other damaging chemicals, vandalism or accident. In no event shall Ambush be liable for incidental or consequential damages.

Durabond Panel System™
1⅜” thick and fully insulated

ROOF

Aluminum framed Durabond Panel System™.  The roof is a one-piece laminated panel to give it strength and sealed multiple times along the edge to prevent water penetration.

WINDOWS

5 windows standard – including four 36″ x 24″ wall windows and one 24″ x 15″ door window.

DOOR

30” wide, aluminum frame, insulated, automotive grade weather seal

FLOOR

The floor is slip-resistant and is made from a dura bond panel system for extra strength.

``My husband and I have been looking for a basic, light weight well-built aluminum skid house for a long time. We were not happy with our current skid house different manufacturer because the skis were not engineered to withstand actual long-term use. When we heard about the Ambush ice houses from a fishing guide friend of ours (Steve Carney), we jumped on buying one of the Stykers because it met our needs and at a reasonable price.
